Some of our predictions for Lego sets to be retired in 2016 are as follows:
We predict that the whole Lego Jurassic World theme will be discontinued this year. This includes 76915 Pterenadon Capture, 75916 Dilophasauras Ambush, 75917 Raptor Rampage, 75918 T-Rex Tracker & 75919 Indominous Rex Breakout. These are in addition to 75920 Raptor Escape which is already retired.
We also predict that the entire Scooby Doo theme will be discontinued this year. Our favourite sets from this theme are 75902 The Mystery Machine and 75904 The Mystery Mansion.
The largest Technic set which should be discontinued in 2016 will be the 42030 Volvo L350F Wheel Loader. This is in addition to all Technic sets numbered from 42031 - 42039.
We do not see any Lego Architecture sets being discontinued this year. This is due to many being discontinued last year. The only sets which may be at risk are 21006 White House and 21013 Big Ben. They have been out for 4/5 years already which is a long period of time for any Lego set. If there were to be any unexpected retirements this year it would probably be for 21020 Trevi Fountain.
The largest Lego Star Wars set we think will be discontinued this year is 10236 Ewok Village. We also predict that all sets released in 2015 from numbers 75078 - 75096 will be discontinued this year. Some of those may even be retired in the summer, around June/July. The only exception may be 75094 Imperial Shuttle Tyridium which may last until the end of 2017.
Sometimes these sets are the hardest to predict but we will have a go. We think that the following sets will be discontinued this year:
There is also the possibility that 10220 VW Camper Van will be discontinued but it continues to be very popular and Lego may decide to keep it for another year to sell alongside the rumoured 10252 VW Beetle.
We think that this year will see the end of 21108 Ecto-1 only. Lego sets 21302 The Big Bang Theory and 21303 Wall-E should see production until the end of 2017.
We will post further details of sets from other themes which may be discontinued this year soon. Please note that these are our predictions and are not guaranteed.

The news of this new product was announced at BricKorea and it will be available on January 1st 2016.
Below is the official Lego.com description:
"Make a safe deposit at the Brick Bank!
Step through the arched entrance of the sculptural façade onto the elegantly tiled floor of the grand foyer, where daylight floods through the large, oxidized copper skylight, illuminating the ornate chandelier high in the atrium. Make a deposit with the friendly teller and place the money in the bank’s secure vault. Then take the stairs to the second floor, where you can discuss your finances over a delicious espresso in the plush surroundings of the bank manager’s office, while next door to the bank, customers are busy depositing their laundry at the cozy, self-service laundromat. Welcome to this magnificent building that houses one of the area’s most established and respected financial institutions… but the vault has a potential weakness, and someone has already found it! This latest addition to the LEGO® Modular Building series is packed with unsurpassed detail and hidden surprises!
The product will be released for sale on January 1st 2016
]]>"Dear LEGO® Fans,
In order to make the LEGO Ideas set 21303 WALL·E as fun as the character in the movie, we created the model with the ability to turn his head all the way around. Since the model has been launched we have received feedback from fans who feel WALL·E’s head moves a bit too freely. Feedback from our fans is very important for us and we’ve decided to take their advice and make some improvements to the set. Our designers are currently working on some small changes to the model. Therefore the LEGO Ideas Set 21303 WALL·E is currently not available at shop.LEGO.com and in some LEGO Stores. Once the reworked version of the model has been finalized LEGO WALL·E will make a full return. For the latest updates on availability, please visit WALL·E on shop.LEGO.com.
