Supply outstripped by demand? Lego shortages predicted!

It has been forecast and recently reported by the Lego Group that there may be a shortage in supply of a number of Lego sets this side of Christmas. There has been no specific mention of which Lego sets or themes to be affected but it looks like there may be gaps already appearing in the supply chain.

A quick look at availability on Lego.com does show a wide range of sets being temporarily out of stock. The affected products include:

10243 Parisian Restaurant
10245 Santa's Workshop
75904 Mystery Mansion
21303 Wall-E (expected due to product issues)
76900 Mummy Museum Mystery
75901 Mystery Plane Adventures
75902 Mystery Machine
75903 Haunted Lighthouse
75060 Slave 1
75095 Tie Fighter
10247 Ferris Wheel

75916 Dilophosaurus Ambush
75917 Raptor Rampage
75918 T.Rex Tracker

That gives a total of 22 products currently unavailable at Lego.com (UK). Looking at the list it is clear that these are popular products, many of which will be on Christmas lists for children (and adults) across the country.
